REGISTRATION OPENING APRIL 24th

Our preschool program runs 5 mornings and 3 afternoons per week, for ages 2.5 yrs to 6 yrs old.

Our Program

Creative Kids Preschool offers a learning program that is consistent with Ministry of Education policies, pedagogy, and curriculum. Some of the Ministry documents we reference in our program include the following:

CKP emphasizes active learning. Since we know that children learn best by pursuing their personal interests and goals, children make their own choices about materials and activities during the program time. As they pursue their choices and plans, children explore, ask and answer questions, solve problems, and interact with peers, program staff, volunteers, students on placement and other adults.

Nutritious Snack: We follow Canada’s Food Guide and Ontario nutritional guidelines, providing healthy snacks that will help develop healthy eating habits for life. We prepare our snacks every morning to provide a fresh snack daily. Monthly snack menus are shared with parents.

Meet Our Teachers

  • Chrissy Anderson RECE

    PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

    I have been a Registered Early Childhood Educator with CKP since 2014. I started as a supply teacher before becoming a permanent teacher in the classroom. I have been the Program Coordinator since 2020. I graduated from Lambton College with my ECE Diploma in 1996.

  • Cheryl Crosby RECE

    TEACHER

    I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator who graduated from the Georgian College ECE program as a Georgian Scholar. I started as a supply teacher and have been a permanent staff member since 2016.

  • Maggie Olschewski RECE

    TEACHER

    I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I graduated in 2019 from Algonquin College with honours. I started with Creative Kids Preschool in 2016 working as a supply teacher. I have been at the preschool full time since 2019.

  • Tania Splawnyk RECE

    TEACHER

    I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator with Creative Kids Preschool since 2022. I graduated with honours from Sheridan College in 2005.

  • Creative Kids Preschool has been wonderful for our family! Our two oldest daughters attended in preparation for kindergarten and they both loved the program. Since starting, they both showed improvement in their writing and letter/number recognition. On top of that, the program was very fun and they were always excited to go! They especially loved the Monday outdoor program because they love being outside. But the biggest positive of all were the teachers.   • Creative Kids Preschool operates for 10 months of the year (September - June). Our daily hours are:

  • We welcome children from ages 2 ½ to 6 years old.

  • We offer half-day programs, with flexibility for 2, 3 or 5 programs per week.

  • Yes! All our educators are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE), dedicated to providing a safe and enriching learning environment.

  • We use a positive guidance approach, focusing on redirection, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with children to encourage positive behavior.
